An elegant setting. Excellent cuisine. Impeccable, reliable service. Timber House is a popular venue for wedding receptions. Our air-conditioned Great Room and Loft are AGCO licensed to accomodate groups up to 150 people, with an adjoining licensed patio.

The 36ft high cathedral roof offers outstanding acoustics for great musical entertainment, live or recorded. A wide range of service and menu choices are offered to accommodate all budgets and event styles. Email or call Susie Wake at 613-475-3304 for more information.

Timber House provides a relaxed yet elegant setting for special events of any type, from anniversaries to birthday parties and family reunions, from Christmas parties to business meetings. With a minimum requirement of 35 people, we offer a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. Food and Beverage Price List for 2007 Events

General Information

Thank you for your interest in the Timber House for your upcoming event.  Whether your function is a wedding, business meeting, a weekend conference or a banquet reception, the Timber House provides a unique setting that combines the comfort and conveniences of the best hotels with the warmth and family feeling of a small Country Inn.

Timber House Banquet Facilities

Rental Facilities:

Timber House Hall can accommodate up to 150 people.   

 

The Timber House hall charge is $350.00 per event

 

 

Cake Cutting Services:

The Timber House will provide cake cutting services and servers at any time during the event for a fee of $50.00. 

 

Marriage Ceremony

There are several places to get married on the property including inside the hall, on the front lawn, on the patio, and down on the beach.  There is a charge of $250 plus GST for a marriage ceremony on the property.

Timber House Bed & Breakfast Rooms

Timber House also has 9 Bed and Breakfast rooms. Each antique-furnished room has a private ensuite bathroom.  Additional single mattresses can be placed in each of the rooms to accommodate additional guests.

 

Guestrooms are available during events at the following prices:

$115.00 (plus GST/PST) based on double occupancy and includes a full breakfast.   Only people registered to the rooms will be allowed in the rooms during the events. 

Deposits and Payments for Private Function/Receptions

A minimum $200.00 deposit is required to book the Timber House for a specific date.  The deposit is non refundable.   Details of the function must be substantially finalized two weeks prior to the event. The balance of all charges is due at the conclusion of the function.  Payment for any other charges incurred will be arranged between the client and the Timber House.  Timber House reserves the right to request a damage deposit for certain types of events.  This can be done either with a credit card or cheque. 

Cancellation Policy

For all meetings and functions, a notice of cancellation must be received 30 days prior to the event or an addition $150.00 charge will apply.

Menu Selections

Special orders don’t upset us!  We have provided an extensive list of menu choices for you.  However feel free to discuss any menu ideas that you want to incorporate in your function. Special menu requests can be accommodated however, there may be an additional fee applied depending on the request.  Menu choices should be received at least one week before your function to guarantee availability.

 

We need a guaranteed number of people 7 days prior to the scheduled event.

 

Pricing and Gratuity

All prices are guaranteed for 90 days and are subject to change in bookings beyond 90 days.  Ontario Provincial sales tax and GST are applicable to all menu items.   An automatic gratuity is applied to all events of 15% in addition to taxes.

 

Additional Notes

The Timber House is a licensed facility.  We do not allow you to bring any liquor, wine, or food into the hall with the exception of cakes for such things as weddings, anniversaries, etc.

The Timber House offers two types of bar service.

 

Host Bar: The convenor of the event pays for all drinks.  A gratuity charge of 20% will be applied.

 

Cash Bar: Guests buy their own drinks. 

*A charge of $20 per hour is applied if bar is open for business meetings.

 

Bar service ends at 1 a.m.  Entertainment must stop at this time so all guests are clear of the building by 1:30 a.m.
